A Trailblazer

I walk my own path. I perceive my own goals. I cut a path to the unknown. I am a trailblazer. Sometimes this lifestyle is quite hard. It could be just easy if I followed life's norms. However, something appeals and appeases me when I cut through this path. Could it be the excitement, the challenges, or am i just plain stupid? I believe its a combination, but most importantly, it stamps my life genuine. A trailblazer I was raised to be and a trailblazer i will exist to be.

From Bad to Worse

Anxiety awaits
the seconds tick
sweat drips down my face
my stomache butterflies sick

The news is bad
am i that terrible
it seems that way
that i am ill, un-able

Okay clear my mind
attention, focus now
try to clean up my mess
i hope for no more fouls

Bam, bang, boom
now things really blow away
exploding up my face
just when i thought it was okay

I have made my situation
from bad to worse
compounding the pain
tenfold or more over the course

What shall i do
i'm such a fool
a simple apology
does not do

I need to fix
i need to clean
make the unsavory condition
become nice and to be seen

And for starters
i'll change my attitude
my whole complexion
it is time for fortitude

So i'm here
at the very bottom
no more deeper
no more being dumb

Careful and concise
bullseye aiming
i shall start
pinpoint flaming

It is time to fix
and a time to make a turn
forward thinking
i shall return.

In Times of Need

When the mood is
worried, anxious and hurried
where do we go
who do we look up to
in this tumultuous flow

A disaster strikes
hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes
the situation is dire within
pain and sadness
deeply are we mired in

It seems as though
as we look left, right and every which way
nobody is there
loneliness encapsulates us
however we should have no fear

We have the best there is
Most High, Revered, Our God
in these times of need
He helps us mysteriously
miracles are bountiful indeed

If we look to God
wise, all-knowning and powerful
pray to him contently
in deep meditation
we will relieve our pains quickly

Thank God for being there
listening, guiding, focusing
my life in wonderous ways
magical and unbelievable
even though i fall off sideways

I pray to you now
I pray to you tomorrow
I pray to you to help me
I pray to you to guide me
I pray to you in times of need.
